Finally re-did my 302 Ford in my 1974 SeaRay CRV220 Just for grins and giggles though, I painted the block, pan and head Ford Blue instead of MC-Black. It was an adventure but we got it done .
Did Go with the new lifters, $4.00 each though...still, worth the extra peace of mind.
OK, we have the motor together and back in the boat!! WOO HOO!
Only two problems (for now)
Hope to get her on the water next weekend to do a float test of the engine. Will keep all posted!
How, bout it BoomYall!? I could use your thoughts again!

- The mounting plate for the starter solenoid....I know it goes near the starter but I'll be derned if I cannot find two matching holes or bolts to put it on. Anyone wanna post a pic or give me directions?
- The lag screws holding the motor mounts to the hull have rusted and the wood inside where they penetrated the glass is punky. Any suggestions as to what I can do to repair those spots?
