Roller trailer...... not good for support while ripping the deck, stringers and or transom. You will need to brace the hull.... I know this because I did mine on that style trailer.... even tho I didn't pop the cap my walk through windshield has a 3/4" gap at the top from the hull spreading a bit  Live and learn... search the forums for cradles and you'll see a bunch of designs. oops or WOG can help with ideas too ;) Pretty much some 2x6 flat under the chines with 2x4 legs down to a 2x4 plate on the floor 24" on center and some cross braces to tie them together.

Re: Rinker V190 floor repair

Yes outward flex and also the upward pressure in the spots where the rollers sit could cause deflection in the bottom of the hull. Your stringers are like the floor joists in your home, supporting the structure, when removed the glass of the hull can bow upward because the support is no longer there.

RR is telling you correct. Support is very important once all the demo is done. Roller trailers are not good. You really need to build a cradle.

Re: Rinker V190 floor repair

Ok so the plan for this weekend is to get the engine out, hopefully, build a cradle and get the boat off the trailer and onto the cradle. High expectation lol. Anyone have a good easy design? There is a slight grade in my driveway so I need to make sure the design is easy enough to level.

After searching the forum for cradle designs I came across the video that Frisco made for his Glastron. I was thinking that a cradle similar to that with extra supports on the chines and ratchet straps around the hull to help reduce the flex would work. Am i on the right track with this thinking?

Picture or Video 018.jpgBased off of the way the boat sits on the trailer when I build the cradle I should have supports on the chine that the trailer bunk is on and then also build up to chine that the rollers are on. I want to make sure that i have it built correctly for max support.

I never saw that bunk under there... I would support it in both places.....doesn't hurt to have some extra support under there IMO

Since the inner chines are sitting on the trailer bunks if I build the cradles to support the outter chines and take pressure off of the rollers in theory would I have to take the boat off of the trailer?

I don't think so....if you block up the outside chine and lower the rollers it should be fine.

Re: Rinker V190 floor repair

Just a quick update, I didnt get a chance to do any work on the boat this past weekend or week. The weather was miserable last weekend and I started a new job last monday so I didnt get much time to do much of anything. Hopefully I get an oppurtunity this week to to get some work done on it.

I love the weather in Pittsburgh. After a beautiful March and the worst April weather I can remember its looking like a mild May. As long as the weather holds up I can get some work done this weekend hopefully.

Re: Rinker V190 floor repair

Since getting a new job my work hours changed for the worse when it comes to the resto of the boat. I did manage to get the engine out this past weekend, however, in the process i managed to break my toe lol. So that has put a slight halt on things, I'm hoping to get back at it this weekend. I still have some mechanical things to remove, Y pipe, gimble housing, etc. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get the chines blocked as well. If all goes well with that I can start taking some good measurements and demoing this time next week. Ill post some pictures tomorrow of the progress. Any input on the gimble removal would be helpful.
