So i finally (after over a year) got my parts from my mechanic and put my port engine back together. What I thought was a broke timing chin turned out to be 2 frozen valve and a cam pin sheared off. Engine starts up and runs good. problem is i'm not getting water thru the risers. while manifolds were off I did run water thru them to verify they flowed.i didn't run water thru the risers so i believe they are clogged. has anyone used the Sierra risers or recommend a decent riser? I know i can't get any OMC manifolds or risers for this motor.

Hey! Another OMG 460 like me! You sure the risers are plugged? Have you confirmed that you have good flow to the manifolds? Perhaps raw water pump or plugged oil cooler, ps cooler. Just seems odd that the manifolds flow but the risers don't. Salt water boat?
Us 460 guys gotta stick together haha. Not many bout there

460's ughhhh!!!! I confirmed that I have good flow all the way to the manifolds on both sides. started my trace from the raw-water pump and went forward. would've saved 5lbs of sweat (it was over 90 degrees) if I had started at the manifold, but since the impeller was new ,i wanted to start from there. It's a slat water boat. been out of the water the last 3 seasons. The last 2 because my mechanic did a disappearing act with my rebuilt heads, and finally showed up this spring. I will be removing the risers this afternoon and will check the manifold flow again to be sure
