I am rebuilding a '67 Mercruiser 165.
Someone told me that marine engines rotate in the opposite direction compared to an automobile engine. Is this true?
Counter rotating engines are usually found in boats with twin engines/drives. One turns one direction and the other turns opposite. This is to help cancel out torque twist in the two engines.

In single engine/drive, the rotation is standard as a automobile ususally........SS
