Re: sae king

Looks like a 60's model Gale. try looking for a tag on it with numbers. They started making 15 hp in 61.
Should start with the letters GG then some numbers

Re: sae king

The 35 first appeared in 58,available in 59 and 60. Number begins with 35 look on the mounting bracket.I think the 60 may have had a fiberglass cowl.Fuel ratio is 24:1.They share many parts with E/J motors.

Yep, it is a 1958 or 1959. Doesn't matter much, they were virtually the same. 1960 had a fiberglass hood.

Generator kits for charging the battery were an optional factory accessory. You probably don't have one. But if you do, it sits on the opposite side of the carburetor from the starter motor, and is about the same size as the starter. It also takes a special junction box cover to house the voltage regulator.

You can always hand crank it if the battery is dead. Assuming you are strong enough to pull it and it is in running condition.
