Looks like a 60's model Gale. try looking for a tag on it with numbers. They started making 15 hp in 61.
Should start with the letters GG then some numbers
The 35 first appeared in 58,available in 59 and 60. Number begins with 35 look on the mounting bracket.I think the 60 may have had a fiberglass cowl.Fuel ratio is 24:1.They share many parts with E/J motors.
i do not know how it recharges the battery and not sure if it is.
, how do i find out and where do i look thanh you for any info . it does run and shifts ok . ps i have a box that all wires go to that go to every thing that is working . if you need a pic of it can post for you . again thank you all for your help and time edward
Generator kits for charging the battery were an optional factory accessory. You probably don't have one. But if you do, it sits on the opposite side of the carburetor from the starter motor, and is about the same size as the starter. It also takes a special junction box cover to house the voltage regulator.
