we got the Mercury remanufactured 357 MAG, 275HP installed for $6,500. IT comes with a 3year Mercury factory warranty...so at least when we resell, we'll have something that will help sell the boat quickly...

yes, Mercury is running a promotion on their remanufactured engines...the rebuild quotes I got already ran from $4-7K so I think this is a decent price. The only question was whether a small boat like this is worth sinking that much more into it. But since everything else looks fine including the outdrive we decided to go for it...

Maxum got sold off in 2008

They just discontinued the Maxum line(never sold it). Didn't make sense to have it and Bayliner since Maxum was just a Bayliner with a little more lipstick.
