This would be laughable if it weren't so seriously dangerous. Fishing below Wheeler Dam on the Tennessee River yesterday. They were generating power and had the turbines running. The tailwaters below are always extremely treacherous and turbulent when this is going on.<br />We were 300 or so yds below the turbines and were wearing our PFD's as always as were the other fishermen in the area. I've fished below this and other such dams all my life and I've seen my share of idiots and close calls through the years, so I thought I'd pretty much seen it all and nothing could surprise me when, lo and behold, two idiots on a SEA DOO come flying by us and head into the turbulence JOYRIDING!
The other boaters seemed to be as flabbergasted as we were. They weren't hurt and rode off after awhile, If they had gotten into trouble, I guess I would have tried to help them, but it sure would have been a little tempting to see them get what they were asking for.
