I am looking for Sea Camper owners or people who have information on these boats.
I am producing a DVD about these rare and obscure house boats. If any one can contribute It would be appreciated . As always. This is non profit so there is no money in it for you, maybe just a pinch of your 15 minuets fame in the boating world is all I can offer.

Thanks Heather.

Again if you are or know a Sea Camper owner, ask them if they want to send in a video tape interview.

Hi, Well AC is easy most people put overhead units on them. Some one had cut a hole in the port side and put a window unit in this one.

Re: Sea Camper

I have been researching SeaCampers myself. I just ran into one for sale on CraigsList in Key Largo and was amazed at what looked like great functionality. I have also seen the poster of this thread discuss her boat on the SeaCampers Yahoo group. Alot of great pictures there.

That thing is just screaming to be done up as a 70's custom van. You would no doubt be the coolest at the island party.

Re: Sea Camper

Yea Maybe some red shag carpet, Diamond rear window and paint the entire out side of the boat with shots from the movie Heavy Metal. Can't forget the bead curtains as you enter and the lava lamp next to the bong. " LOL" well if it were not rare and one of the very very first of 543 ever made I would.

I think it's going to be about as stock as I can get it when done.

Re: Sea Camper

You know that is a Idea,,, I would not do it with this boat. But Man that would be a money maker. Say on the 4th or such or just weekends if there are hot spots on your lake,,,,,, Get a food license and sell burgers and drinks, grocerys and stuff from a house boat.... WOW what a cool idea!

Re: Sea Camper

I watched the video, nice job getting that thing home!
The whole time I was thinking what a cool boat that would be with an outboard bracket and two nice sized V6's on there. Its got to be a great river boat.
I've run a few newer house boats, the type built on either flat bottom or pontoons, and was never a big fan how they tend to dip and take on water in rough seas, that thing looks pretty decent since its basically a normal lower trihull.

Keep taking pics, I'm sure everyone wants to see how it comes out now!

That is a really cool boat!
I can picture it with all new interior,Dometic fridge,stove,microwave..and of coarse one of the RV ac units..genset,hot water heater...The possibilities are endless..:)

I have seen some great deals on Ebay for all those kind of appliances.
Most are being sold out of Indiana.I guess left over from the RV factories.

Heather I have the utmost respect for you and what you have done with this and other boats. I have followed your exploits on this board newly and on Fiberglassics as well. How did you get the boat from it's sunken state on the bottom to the shore where the first pictures show it?

Re: Sea Camper

Were there different models of the Sea Camper? My memory ain't so hot but I think I remember a model with a flybridge and almost picture windows in the salon - much bigger than yours. Also I remember they had a unique trailer with bunks that fit in groves in the hull and fold down steps as part of the transom for use at campsites as well as in the water. Is yours that way?

Re: Sea Camper

I have recently been given a seacamper with a fly bridge. I will also be doing some research on the boat and the company. Iwork about 8 miles from Green Cove Springs and will be searching out the old timers (like myself) that may have worked for Farenwald. I'm also about 30 miles from Jacksonville where they were made. I'll be posting here and on the Seacamper group as I find info
