Re: Sea Hag 2 rebuild
yes the fishin is good on this side but i want to try the other side when im done.
Let me know what kind of fish you'd like to get on the Michigan side and I can give you some waypoints to plug in the old GPS and give you a pretty good headstart

There are some shipwrecks and near islands(100ft+ bottom depth that shoots right up to 4') that offer some good walleye and salmon opportunities.
Will you be putting some downriggers and planer boards on her to rig for fishing the big lake?
As far as the fuel tank, if you throw a 116 gallon tank you would be increasing the weight considerably. According to my math it would be about 950 additional pounds with a full tank.
If the Caravan would be ok with that amount then I'd say go for it...my dad's 24' has a 150 gallon tank and the peace of mind is priceless when running miles out on Lake Huron.
I believe that the Starcraft Club had seen a 26' Islander on evilbay recently but I didn't see it personally. Islanders have been my favorite boat since I was ten years old, so add me to the list of people who desire a Cheiftain or Islander
