That is the "standard" non-shift 5hp with the single jet, variable venturi carburator. There is no kit of it, never was any. You have to order individual parts.

I don't think the water pump is working on this sea king. Is the three ,i'll call them hash marks half way down from the power head to the prop where its to weep water out or am i wrong becouse its not.

thanks

Yes---the 3 chevron shaped openings are the exhaust relief/tell-tales on that Gale-built motor. If the waterpump rotor were working you should be getting a VERY noticeable amount of spray from them. If the large o-ring seal around the exhaust leg between the pivot bushings is kaput you may also get water out of the top bushing that will run into the boat.

The rotor is located behind the plate that is behind the prop. It must fit closely around the cam but loosely in the housing to function as designed. Contact Brian Wilcox for a replacement. (810) 794 - 7685

I get no water anywhere. Is this waterpump rotor shaped like a cam lobe or offset looking thing as i see that and lots of gear oil that is very thick in there. Anyway ,is that rotor the pump because their is no impeler.
thanks

In my last post I wrote <--The rotor is located behind the plate that is behind the prop. It must fit closely around the cam--->

You can't tell from that which is the rotor and which the cam?:(

The rotor is the rubber part. It IS the 'impeller'! I can't make it any simpler than that.

Oil and grease will destroy the rubber rotor. Makes it swell up.
