Hi Gang.... to get my livewell to fit under the leaning post I had to trim a corner half an inch and now a bit of the foam core is exposed... What ideas are out there to seal the open area to prevent UV and water damadge? (cooler is white)

Thank you!!

I'd try to find a peice of angle alum or a plastic strip that could be glued with 5200, using sealant by itself just won't look good and will probably trap dirt. Maybe split a peice of pvc pipe, or look at angle trim at home depot, a lot of that stuff is made from plastic now.
You might have to cut a bit more from the cooler to allow for the trim peice.

The nice thing about owning a ratty old boat is it doesn't matter.
Beat it to fit and paint it to match.

LOL... yeah, this boat is getting to that point... I have been fixing junk for years and wouldn't know how to act with a new boat!!!

I like the PVC idea and its not that bad, just think I need to keep dirt, water, & UV out of the foam.
