Sealing Aluminum Hull With Poly Resin?

I do not have any "Holes" in the hull, but it does appear to be leaking pretty good around the drain plug and perhaps from some seams. I have some left over Poly NoWax Resin...

Taking in account that I will prep the seams with an aluminum brush and clean it properly.

Is Poly effective in sealing seams on aluminum?
I am not using much HP at this point on the boat, and I am not looking for any structural reinforcement. I have heard the contention about aluminum corroding under poly... but I would bet that it was from moisture penetration after de-lam. But I suppose that is the crux of my question; would it de laminate from aluminum? (Again... I will/would be applying on a brushed and clean surface)

Thank you for any and all input.

Gluvit is the preferred product. Do a google search for "gluvit" and you will get plenty of info.

The product you want to use to seal the hull seams is Gluvit. I've never used it but the guys on this forum swear by it.

LOL! I know about Gluvit... unfortunately time is short for me and I cannot find any sources anywhere near me. I cant afford to wait 3 -4 business days for shipping either... I just wish I had more time. But... If I find out Poly will de-lam, I will have no choice but to wait...

How much do you have to do? If not much, I have had good luck with JB weld. I would do this before poly.

Re: Sealing Aluminum Hull With Poly Resin?

Thanks for all the excellent advise (As always!!!) guys. I went with seems to be choice "B". As poly seems to be afraid of aluminum, I purchased the Interprotect 2000E. Good price and seems quite straight forward to use. I will post my results.

Anything I should be careful about while using this stuff?

I also bought some Star Brite Aluminum Putty Epoxy stuff... there are some holes scrapped down on the keel and there are a few bolt holes I want to stuff. This will be the first time I use this stuff... I will remember to take pics while doing it tomorrow.
