Unless the "Stanely Cup" that you are talking about is awarded to a Saltspring Island Beer League Team (OK, Merlot and Spritzer League...) we are talking about the true Holy Grail. A bit more respect please..

The entire city of Vancouver is just vibrating from this upcoming series.
I heard that a lot of (Vancouver) employers will be letting their employees out an hour earlier to get home safely....as well as they will not be concentrating on the last hour of work anyways.
As well and this is kind of funny is that the pizza/restaurant chain 'Boston Pizza' will be temporarily renaming themselves 'Vancouver Pizza' for this series only....talk about taking it seriously.
Anyone know Don Cherry's preferences for this series?

....yeah, I didn't mean to put a fly in the ointment but I'm thinking it's more team related than a country or national thing. One of Vancouver's top and most popular players is Ryan Kessler who is American while Patrice Bergeron on Boston is...a Canadian.
So I figured flying the logo/flag of the winner was sort of in order.

p.s: I hope Boston's Zdeno Chara shrinks in the wash today when showering. It would be good to get him down under 7' on skates, particularly for the Vancouver forwards. it seems like the guy has 41' reach with his hockey stick sometimes...plus a 108mph slapshot....I'm hating that.

The only skin I have in the series is that 2 players are former Milwaukee Admirals, Rich Peverley for Boston and Dan Hamhuis for Vancouver.
Since all I just want are great games and a great series, and a game 7 would be the best thing since sliced cheese, you can count on me to root for whomever is trailing in the series.
