Re: Sevylor Floorboard???

Sorry to intrude on the Sevylor conversation. I have a seahawk ii and am considering building a floor as well. This thread has been very useful to me for design. Does anyone know how the intex boat compares to the sevylor for thickness? Should i be concerned about rubbing or tearing a hole or ripping a seam? Thanks guys, your boats look great.

Re: Sevylor Floorboard???

I just built a floor made a piece of plywood 5 / 8 half would work, but the image a little 'thicker hurt.Had wouldnt gt messed up the paint of the same color as the ferry to Green Ace Hardware. I had a model for the factory, and just cut around, then Article 29 1 / 2 wide and 73 half always had an end slope of the land is a real WKH havent seem to fit ok, tried with the water still .

And painted it the same color as the raft Ace hardware can mix it for you a qt was 12.00 take in the patch kit that comes with it or one fo the seats they have paint anslizer that looks at a pc and matches the color.

Hey guys, I've been trying to find a template to make a floorboard for my HF360 and I found this one made by dobbs571. The template is excellent, however I was wondering if anybody knows what is the approximate width at the two ends (see attached). I sent a PM to dobbs571, but I decided to post the question here as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the same question.

I also have a question if one can buy the floor anywhere? Seems like no one sells them anymore.

Been trying really hard to find myself the Boot Kit but no luck at all as everyone is saying they are discontinued.

been looking at all the pics and its amazing some of the stuff you guys have done to your boat, great work. Plan to build myself a floor board also

Re: Sevylor Floorboard???

Hey,, You guys are pretty creative when making the Floorboard.. I'll follow suit and make my own also..
I may make a few "tweaks" along the way but in the long run I'm sure it'll work great.. Thanks for the ideas!
I've actually got a question: Does anyone know WHERE I can still get a Boot Cover for the Seyvlor 360's??
I'm sure my wife will also say that "the camouflage cover really takes it to a new level of redneck".
Heck, at least she noticed!! I've read good and bad reviews about these, but, I still want one..
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks much in advance.....Martin

Hey martin, you're just down the road from me it looks like (I'm also in Western WA). Since the boot is discontinued your best bet for finding one is to keep checking ebay and craig's list. Sometimes one pops up, that's how I got mine for the HF280

Hey guys I have a hf280 and am working on a floorboard. I was curious about the plastic rope guides on the floor. Are you mounting the board on top of the guides? I have seen only one design where they drilled holes to accommodate the guides so are the others resting the board on top of the guides or am I missing something? Thanks guys!

DAMN I love the internet. I never suspected that other folks had even THOUGHT of a floor for their Fish Hunter - I'm a "camping/fishing a couple times a year with my kid" boat owner. But the battery bag ripped, and I was thinking "gee, it sure would be better if the batter box sat on something more stable.
A few minutes with Google, and here I am.
THANKS FOR SHARING your great innovations.

Thanks to the guys on this forum I bungeed, drilled, screwed, attached and otherwise to create this awesomeness! Got a wood floor board, 2 wood benches suspended above the transom bars with foam pool noodles. I have wise folding seats with cup holder caddy bolted to swivels on the benches, 2 Wal-Mart containers that are relatively rain proof bungeed on the side. 2 buckets with my anchors and rope, 30# minn kota troller, i found a sevylor cooler float that I tied to the side and worked surprisingly well (at higher speed the front of the cooler float buries down so may need to modify that) and a home made 2 stroke weed wacker turned outboard. Maybe a little over kill but hey it all fits in my small suv, no need for a boat ramp, trailer parking, etc. I love my fish hunter!

I made the floorboard out of 5/8 marine plywood, painted it and edged it with foam tubing, but do I inflate the floor, fully. Because the sides are inflated first and I wondered how I inflate the floor AFTER I lay the floor?

Sevylor suggests to inflate the inner tube first, then floor, and then I think the 2 bottom stabelizing chambers. I insert my floorboards after this. Lastly, I inflate the outer chamber.

Since mine is a custom floor, it is possible that you may not be able to fully inflate the 1st chamber and still be able to insert the floorboards. If this is the case, let some air out of the 1st chamber and try inserting the floor again. Once istalled, you could then add air to the 1st chamber and end up by filling the outer one.

Good luck.

Either way, I'd inflate the floor chambers fully.

Re: Sevylor Floorboard???

Hey guys, just got my 12 footer in and I made some measurements for my motor mount, Floor, and panels.
I hope I helped anyone who is needing measurements...........
I will post photos next week when my friend finishes my cuts at his shop.

Also, I will be coating my floor, mount and panels with Rubber spray, I think it will look pretty cool.

Re: Sevylor Floorboard???

Hi Milotech,
You’ve done some good work congratulations,
I’ve just made myself my floorboard for my Sevylor fish hunter 360 with the template from Cooperfox, using 5/8 thick.
You have 33” width at the middle which surprises me, dobbs571 had 29”, Cooperfox had 26,5”, I followed Cooperfox with 26,5” and I find it a good size..
The six 3” holes seem a bit big for me, Why the holes are so big at 3” ? It’s just to allow the rope holders to go through isn’t it ?
And do we really need these ropes on the floor anyway ?
What is the use of these ropes ?
Why can't we just cut those six rope holders so the floorboard sticks more to the bottom so we don't have to do any holes in the floorboard ?
We measure in cm in France so a bit confusing...
Thanks a lot for all your answers.
Jeff, Avignon, France.
