Looking for any tips into buiding a shift cable tool to save some time. I have decided to change the lower cable this weekend but no one has the part or wants to lend it for this weekend.
I have researched a few tips:
1. Weld a nut to the end of a craftsman 3/8 drive deep 9/16 socket
2. Turn down the socket outside diameter.
Do I really need to turn down the diameter? No access to a lathe. I can weld the nut though.
Any other suggestions?
