Hey Wave!

Yep, that is the Peconic Bay, and the land in the background is the north fork. I am beached at the Jessup Neck Bird Sanctuary. Lovely place, and no one in sight even in peak vacation season. Shhh! Don't tell anyone.
here's my pride and joy...a continual "work in progress"

http://www.shareaproject.com/imageDetail.php?p=1&i=36

I'd love to see some of these "projects" step by step. I just finished creating this free website where people can chronicle their projects. There's a section devoted entirely to boating. I hope people find it useful!

http://www.shareaproject.com
Here's my tiddler "For no apparent reason... ".
She's a Quintrex 475 Spirit with an FT60B Yam and Garmin GPSMap 188. Does 29 kts one up and copes well with the 6ft swell commonly seen off the east coast here. However, when it gets bigger she's a tub!

1973 16' Baja DV160
I hope to restore it to the original orange and black color scheme one day. It's rated for 145hp max. Sounds dangerous to me, the hull weighs approx 800lbs so I'm told. The transom is 2" thick at the splashwell. It runs 35-38 with the 88SPL. It gets exciting in rough water.
