I bought it for $ 500 from a lsdy I have bugged for 7 years. It has only 52K org miles and is like new. I sold my Suburban the next week. A quick PM I have sent in regards to my 22 Holiday with the 200 johnson.

Re: Show us your tow rig

that does qualify as a load-o-wood bud!

Yep, but is she squatting or is that an illusion? What? about three cord?

Yah, that trailer came from a landscaping company that decided to way overbuild it to haul their heavy equipment (excavators and such). It's awesome!

Nah, once it's all split and stacked there is probably about 1.5 - 2 cords there (cord being 8' long x 4' high x 4' deep). Should keep my brother's house toasty warm for a couple of months over the winter.

Cheers!

Re: Show us your tow rig

OK this thread motivated me to go out and take a pic of the rig.

2011 Ford F350 6.7 Liter Turbo Deisel. 800 ft/lbs of tourqe and 400 HP. I get 18 mpg up hill, down hill, or towing the Liquid Limo and the truck doesn't even know it's there.

I also do some government contracting down in DC and the big rig comes in real handy when we're hauling heavy loads on the trailers.

For around town daily driving I try to drive the VW Jetta TDI. I get an amazing 47 mpg but it's hard to not drive the new truck:D

One of the two tow rig's, the Explorer Sport Trac v6. I really enjoy this truck, gives me the kid hauling capabilities WITH a truck bed. Its a 2001 with 55,500 miles on it, biggest reason I picked this one.

The "other" haul rig is 2009 Chevy Traverse. I put a butt dent in it pushing the glass boat off once (now fixed) and I now REFUSE to put the boat in with that! Its way too soft if you ask me :D. Tis ok, its the other half's car.

04 Burb...2500 4x4...8.1L V8 (aka 500 ci)....the "Autoride" version...supposed to automatically detect loads and adjust the ride...seems to work...but try finding documentation explaining how. It averages 12.7mpg (even sitting there turned OFF!:D) Besides the boat it spent a lot of time hauling high school kids to games, etc and since home is kind of remote we spent a lot of time in it. The second row seats are 2 reclining captains like the front...just not electric....nice for long trips. The Starchief is a breeze.

Here's one with our Starchief.

The old 2001 Silverado, and my other favorite pastime next to hauling around old boats.

Re: Show us your tow rig

Got Myself a new tow rig for the boat and a new restoration project since the boat is located 150 miles away in storage - covered and heated for free so I shouldn't complain too much! So I thought I'd show it off a bit!

Stats:

1975 Montgomery Wards Hydrostatic ("...automatic...why its grease lightning!") 16HP B&S 42" Cut BEAST
1975 Snowblower attachment
1975 International Harvester trailer with leaf catching motor

It runs like a champ, weighs more than my truck (at least it feels that way)! Plan to use it for yard work, mowing, snowblowing and moving the boat around to enjoy the sun! The co-captains already love it (and secretly so do I)! Only gripe is its NOT made of aluminum, but I am guessing that could be "altered" to some degree!

If I recall correctly, you also "tow" the boat around the yard with a tractor Jas, correct? In fact I think you posted your detailed information on how fast your Islander goes adding in the speed of your tractor :D.
