Re: Si-Tex manual
Interesting.......I left the Si-tex stuff on my last boat when I sold it but I had nothing but good experiences with customer service the couple of time I needed assistance.
I was hoping I could say the same with this equipment upgrade. But now I'm unsure of the ability of this Company to provide back up. Your statements, Dingbat are more reassuring than the company contact. I have never heard or used their equipment, but their logistics are good. I am not in a position to make a statement on their product, only their front line introductions and service to this point. Not a warm fuzzy, so far.
A Mr. Henderson from KODEN/SI-TEX customer service did contact me today by e-mail offering an apology and some questionable repair advice, but little else. Did you know you cannot buy connectors and rewire GPS antennas to their Profish II? I did, using their schematic in their manual and it works, fine.....They say I need to trash the Antenna and buy a 'new' one from them. Now on to their Duel Tri-Ducer and a post repair on the Temperature / Sonar wires........I love a challenge!
