1. Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith = black.

2. Peyton Manning's "laser rocket arm" led the Colts to victory...and by "laser rocket arm," I mean Joseph Addai and Dominique Rhodes rushing for 190 yards, a touchdown and controlling the clock.

3. It's always fun to see football experts outthink themselves and decide that Rex Grossman coudn't possibly kill his team in the biggest game of his career.

4. Apparently, Brian Griese's greatest weakness is that he can't throw as beautiful as an interception as Grossman.

5. Nothing says football like Prince wearing an Aunt Jemima rag and backed up by a Solid Gold dancer in a white bat suit.

6. The best group ads were the careerbuilder ads. The best single ad was the "Grand Theft Auto" Coke ad. But if Bruce Campbell's Old Spice ad played during the game, it would have won in a landslide.

7. Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith = still black

8. Number one on Lovie Smith's "To Do" list this offseason: Teach Devin Hester how to throw and/or run the option offense.

9. Cedric Benson is a *****.

10. Winning two MVP awards and compiling gaudy statistics will only get you so far in winning the public's admiration in your profession. You should wear wigs and mustaches, scream "CUT THAT MEAT!", and slither out of footballs. Only then, will everyone love you.

11. 4 centuries of slavery, an added century of legal discrimination and an additional generation of cultural and social bias? According to a potato chip company, it's all water under the bridge.

12. Right now, someone at Budweiser is getting lit cigarettes burned on his/her corneas for suggesting this.

13. Barbaro will never die. Not if we choose to keep him in our hearts.

14. Judging by the turnovers and overall play, you can derail superior athletes with a moderate amount of water.

15. Jim Nantz should probably sit the next Super Bowl out. Despite winning a Super Bowl, Phil Simms will never be as interesting as his spleenless son.

16. Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith after the game = still black.

I can add a 17th lesson to that. Learn to get some announcers who weren't pro Chicago. The number of "we can still pull this off" and "agonizingly close (to a first down)" when Chicago has the ball was simply disgusting.

When Chicago fumbles, its a slippery ball, when Indianapolis fumbles its blamed on the individual carrying it.

One of the worst superbowls I've ever watched in my 27 years on this planet.

That would be because of Phil Simms. The WORST announcer in the bissiness. Not only is his voice annoying, but the man simply makes stuff up to validate what he says/sees on the field. Granted a few if not most have that tendancy, but he is in a league of his own.

Jim Nance is normally ok, but not in this game.

Upset because the Saints weren't playing??? I don't have to dig too far back into memory to recall the azz whooping the Ravens put on the Giants a few years back. Thirty something to three? am I correct on the score? That game was way way worst then this game.

That's what "Parity" gets you, in addition to the talent pool being diluted by so many teams now.

That one was painful....:%
Especially since there were people who actually cared about the outcome!...:)

17. Straight men will be, at least for a little while, hesitant to eat Snickers bars.

18. Billy Joel... well, at least he can still play the piano!

19. Doritos get fat chicks all hot and bothered.

20. We need an interpreter to tell us that Shannon Sharpe wants everyone to "keep an eye on their luggage".

Whata Ya nuts, I despise Da Bears. This is Packer country. Anybody that goes, bets for Da Bears should be lined up and shot. I refuse to bet on football for reasons I won't go into.

No, actually I wasn't. They didn't show up for the game against Chicago and lost outright.

I was upset because the announcers were biased toward Chicago.

I was upset because the superbowl was played in such harsh weather. A game that every team tries their hardest to get to should be played in a dome.

I was upset because the commercials, half the reason I watch the game, were lame.

Nowhere in those reasons does the word "Saints" come up. I'm just happy Manning won, thats our home town boy. Other than that the entire atmosphere of the game sucked.

They should have played the game at Lambeau Field, like REAL football should be played. It would have been -9 and 20 mph winds at kickoff on Sunday. Dome football is for pussies( see Viqueens). Harse weather my arse!

Re: Sixteen Things We Learned from Super Bowl XLI

It sucked that they had to pay in the rain, but did that affect anything? The team with a HUGE advantage in that weather lost.

I 100% completely disagree with the dome statement. Its bad enough that so many are already played in the Superdome. Football is meant to played outdoors.....its a mans sport. Sport turf is getting better but it still isnt grass.
