yep, made those clamps from scratch. Used 2x3x16" stud wood. 3/8 x 6" carrage bolts w/ wingnuts, hex nuts and flat washers. Holes drilled oversize except for hole square head of carrage seats. Real cheap and works well. Those two aluminum C clamps in photo are about 40 years old, were my dads. <br /><br />I will be glassing entire stringers w/ matt and epoxy.<br /><br />I note that others have added spars perpendicular to stringers in their projects. What type of wood did ya'll use? I'm thinking to use 1x2 white oak, soaked w/ cpes to seal and protect from rot.<br />Any opinions?
