Under the valve needle seat in the inline 6 carb is a smooshed brass washer that seems to have become part of the carb bowl cover and I cannot get it out. I've tried to gently pry it with my punch and a tiny screw driver.
So, now I'm wondering if I should install the new brass washer from the carb kit under the inlet valve needle seat on top of what appears to be a crushed existing brass washer, or if the crushed/smooshed already in place is enough and I should just reinstall the inlet valve and not add a second washer?
Or, is there a trick to getting the stuck washer out? Maybe putting the entire thing in the freezer?
