Shouldn't the bow stop assembly pivot? That should allow the lower eye to push it out of the way.

Hold on guys I think I have the answer.

First you do not need two bow stops on that mount, can you measure the inside width of the bracket (follow me here), I want you to measure the inside distance of the bracket that mounts the bracket with the two bow stops.

I would remove the two bow stops and the steel that mounts them leaving you with the steel that extends towards the boat with one bolt, mount a bow stop there and be done with it, you may have to lower the winch a bit to make if fit right.

Then you just order the proper bow stop or roller you want here..

ok not the artist with this stuff see if this makes sense. I'd rather have you cutting things off the trailer than off the boat.

So what I am saying is, instead of cutting the steel that redneck joe has suggested just remove the entire piece then measure the width of the steel where the bolt is between the red cut line and the new proposed bracket, mount a new roller or bow stop to that bolt, I hope this makes sense....

It's not a big deal to dunk the boat in real deep to get it off the trailer. Why not remove that entire swivel assembly and put a $10 roller in its place? Even as it sits now, if you want to launch it, get the trailer deep into the water, put the rear wheels of your truck in water if you have to. If you have any trouble coming out put it in 4x4 low range and just make your way up the ramp.

My boat is heavy and sits on bunks, I pretty much have to dunk the trailer all the way to launch it.

Pro-tip: Disconnect your trailer lights when you dunk the trailer and don't reconnect it until the lights have no water in them. The 'submersible' lights most trailers have, like mine, fill with water just as quick as any other. If you don't disconnect it, you will be replacing bulbs every time you use the thing.

I have the same bow stop setup and it sucks bigtime. I have it to where the boat sits properly on the trailer, but the winch hook and bow eye get caught on the lower stop all the time. I think you need to raise the winch on yours so it's pulling forward, not down.

Or, raise it enough and just use the upper bow eye on your boat.

Mine is a similar deal, with the stern floating even a little you can bounce it over the bumpers. That winch working ok? Looks like it could use some oil.

as for putting the trailer deeper in the water, i was about as deep as i can go, the back tire was well into the water and it still wasnt enough, i tried multiple times to lift the boat off the bump stop and couldnt get it to budge

Did you look at it? Here is my suggestion (in the photo that i edited). 1. Yellow lines. Remove the double bracket. This will leave an open mounting hole in the middle. 2. Red lines. Move the entire assembly upwards so that the open mounting hole is above your lower bow eye (remove the upper bow eye, it isn't supposed to be there). 3. Green lines. Mount the bow stop into the open mounting hole. Then your bow stop is above your bow eye.

It won't get snagged anymore.

i looked at it tonight. im going to remove the upper bow eye, im pretty sure that will solve the issue.
i thought i would be able to remove the double bracket, and install a single roller there, and just raise the whole winch assembly... but there is a lower support arm on the tongue that is in the way, at the very best i would get 1/2" between the top of the bow eye and the bottom of the roller.
if i still run into issues after i remove the upper bow eye then i will go more in depth with it, but im about 99% sure removing it will solve my issues

From what you posted previously, I still don't think your trailer has enough capacity for your boat. Might be a good time to be looking for another one.

Even removing the upper bow eye, the winch is too low pulling the bow of your boat down. The line should be horizontal.

Does your boat have a lifting eye installed on the bow? Sometimes it's necessary to install a second bow eye to attach the rod connecting the lifting eye to prevent having the rod obstruct the anchor locker. Just something to consider before you decide to remove it.

I like Turbo's idea and design.But after looking it some more. If you do that, the hull will deffo contact the trailer as the stern rises causing damage.
OK, got it now. Do like Turbo says, then relocate the crank to your upper bar to give you a straight pull on the upper bow mount.
Nope thats not not going to work also.
You need a new trailer.
The cushion needs to be above the boat hook and you need a straight pull from the winch to the hook. It can be done, your just going to have to do some welding and fab work.

yes it does, and from what the guys at the local west marine said when i showed it to them, it is way overkill for the boat its on lol. i ended up removing the upper bow eye, and ran some bolts back through to hold the lifting eye rod in place, i sealed the 2 bolts with the 3m thru hull sealer on them for the time being
