Good luck to you Mike. If it's any consultation, which it probably won't be, but this past weekend we were up at the marina and a couple of dock mates are having very similar problems with their boats. One is a 2009 Regal 2700 and the other is a Sea Ray 38 Sundancer, I think a 2008. They all seem to have their problems which their respective manufacturers would like to ignore.

I agree.

Most companies have their problems but I'm amazed they don't stand behind their names.

We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.

Cheers.

Humm, I've been following this and asking myself what I might do. At this point I think I'd get out the list of boat shows that Doral is going to have a booth at and make up some flyers explaining your dillema. I'd walk in and sit in a very obviously public area near the Doral booth and start handing out flyers to potential Doral buyers. Won't cost too much to do that and you might end up making quite a few friends. Of course that list wouldn't include anybody at Doral but what the heck. They had their shot to do the right thing now it's your turn.

I like this idea :D

The manufacturer or dealer, will say or state anything to sell the boat. After the sale your done. IMO. 5 year hull warranty, 5 to life warranty, everything covered for 2yrs, 5yrs, etc. What ever. Doesn't matter. Good luck Snobike Mike.

A good outcome Mike, I was told by a former employee of the Australian importer of Doral that, on my model, the first A$30k of warranty was the responsibility of the dealer unless it related directly to a Doral manufacturing fault. i.e. they had a special margin built into the price as part of the distribution agreement.
