Re: So, my husband buys a boat...
yay.. Yall are going to love that power.. Hold on to your hat
Wow, you weren't kidding, hold on to everything!
I wasn't expecting the extra ooomf. I figured my other boat is 165 horses, whats an extra 40 nags in the pasture going to do, right? That was rhetorical, those extra horses combined with a lighter boat and I was screaming across the lake in seconds, literally.
Shifted like butter cream, flew like a bat out of h3ll, turned on a dime. I spent quite a bit of time, stopping, starting backing up, moving forward, doing figure eights.
I didn't open it up all the way, speed, really isn't my biggest thing and it was humming along nicely at 45mph with more to go, but I didn't go there, 45 was my comfort zone limit, I just dont feel confident going over 40, 45 was pushing the envelope for grandma here.
Mechanic that we have been using, that also works on OMC engines gave it a thumbs up, said it was in excellent shape and had obviously been someones pampered pet. Has all original upholstery in excellent condition with only a few wear spots, original flooring in excellent and dry condtion.
Now it will be my pampered pet, hopefully for a few years anyway
