Sold my 14"6" side console to a really nice guy. took him out taught him what i could. expressed watch the conditions.

Yesterday he and his Dad, went fishing in the St Johns, near marker 5. thunder boomers came up, he did not heed "watch conditions" it go rough, went to turn around and got swamped. down it went. luckily another boat picked them up.

there is a really nice boat, and 1993 40 Hp Johnny, just of marker 5.

Well that sucks..... Lucky for them they got picked up. Anyone want to start a poll on wether or not they even had PFD's in the boat?

Gheez... it's only a 14'6 boat... hope they didn't wander out to far.

Wow....pretty bad spot to get into such a pickle. How rough did the St. John's get? I'm assuming it must have gotten pretty choppy.

Or you could go mark a waypoint on it if he doesn't recover it. A boat like that would probably makes a nice little structure. It will be your secret honey hole.

What are the rules of recovery here??? Is it finders keepers if someone goes and pulls it up?
How about the EPA... anyone know if these guys will get fined because now there are gallons of fuel at the bottom of the river?

Glad they were ok. I'd rather go home with an empty stringer than an empty trailer any day.
