Geez, I just wrote some chit, Went to post it and wasn't logged in. That sucks

Anyway sorry I haven't been here, Been putting a boat together for myself.

This is a common problem with the new ethenol fuel. The guys here are correct In that you need to take the carbs apart, But Let me add a few things. First make sure you get a few cans of Brake clean and with the hose nozzle blow out all your orfices and clean everything but the gaskets with the brake clean. Make sure you clean the the high and low speed jets too. The high speed is as stated behind the drain plug and the low speed is directly above that behind a screw at the top of the carb. What the main problem probaly is, Is the main fuel valve is probably clogged from above with the fuel hose that's falling apart because of the ethenol, Not that the valve is stuck. You'll need to replace all your hoses with fuel injection hose.

guys I took the carb off and cleaned it up replaced all the fuel lines in side the motor and new ball and fuel line from tank. got it started in the yard and notice she was idleing kinda higer than ever in the yard I dont know how to get it down. took it to the lake thinking the back pressure would help with the ildeing, it did not but I needed to see if I fixed the other problem so I put it in gear and man was the noise and the snap of it going into gear very noticable. so I slowly gave it throttle and she did go higher than before but not all the way maybe 1/2 it still does not respone to high speed I have 135 in 2 cly and 140 in the other one do you think fuel pump or are the carbs all messed up now . she ran 1/2 throttle smoothly all around the lake. dont know what to do, also I went out tonight and started it and the brand new gas ball at the tank is sucking in I diconnected while running it put air back in plug it back into motor whils she is still on and she sucked it to squashed again in 3or 4 sec. what is that ?

umm im not very good with these things but a basic question is the fuel tank venting

I took it out on lake again and its not fire or coil its not compression, its not the fuel pump have I narrowed it down to gas I moved the throttle screw back to get it to idle low enough to put it in gear now she wont stay on and so I put it in gear and the motor is like not doing instantly what I am asking it to do from the gear box, she did after taking the middle carb apart and cleaning it ( that one because after taking the drain screws out and pumping the ball the gas did not come out of that one but it did on the other two)put it back on and she would at least make it to plain maybe a tad more but not fast enough to lay down Its still gas isnt it guys? What should I do now?

You're going to need to do a like and sync on that motor, When you throw down the throttle, Does it come up to 5500 rpms? Sounds like you're getting closer. But if you haven't cleaned all the carbs, You're not done yet. you should clean all the carbs, The bottom carb usually gets the most crap because it's at the bottom of the fork in the hose network.

I did remove the other 2 carbs soundchaser this is crazy that I am doing this Im so afraid I wont be able to get this back right. hopefully I will get them cleaned tomorrow and start trying to put back. I dont have any thing to tell me rpms what ever that is but when I tried today as I said she for a split sec wants to take off I mean lift that front right up but boags down and only runs just a tad over plaining thanks for the help

Have you done a proper Link & sync, Have you done a proper compression check, Have you got a spark checker and tried to jump a 7/16" gap on all three cylinder, Have you clean carbs real good including above the fuel inlet valve and high and low speed jets. Keep at all these items and you will have a running motor provided the compression check comes up good. do some homework on how to accomplish some of these items and you'll be fine.

I just came in sick to my stomch was in drive at 8-10 knots when someone bumped it into reverse do I throw it away is it transmission or what they call lower unit . the prop will not turn either way and because its not in neutral she will not turn over.
