You guys know of any boating websites that might have used boat parts or classifieds? Other than checking Craigslist and Ebay?

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle. It's a search engine for the web. Try it.

In less than 10sec I located dozens of marine salvage yards.

I've looked a little, and like you said, there's dozens. I was hoping to find a recommendation for one before spending hours calling them all. Or a website similar to this that has a classified/wanted section.

Would be a little easier to help you out if you mentioned what country and the area you're in! ;)

I've tried to be vague, since I know solicitation is against the rules. I figured my area wouldn't matter much, since shipping stuff across the country is easy (I'm in the US). Is it against the rules to state the specific parts I'm looking for?

^^^ I think that's what Bond-o is trying to tell you. Go ahead and let people know what you're looking for. It's most likely that someone here has had the same issue and can help you out. Don't be shy :D

Re: Source for used boat parts

there are lots of used boat parts yards but they probably won't turn up on web searches unless you are looking for something major. Look into Budget Boats in Chesapeake, Va for one--they have a web site.
I am not soliciting just recommending; I have no interest in their business other than as a customer.

Re: Source for used boat parts

I've found what I needed. Thanks.

Dude, this forum is for people to help people... adding your location, parts questions, or problems helps other learn as well..

To end a thread on "i found what i needed" and never once say what the heck you were in search of....well...is a little annoying to me...but hey I guess I am sensative..

be sure to come back when the thing you get doesnt work exactly right and you need help!

Thanks!

This is a little on the smart***** side but a friend showed this to me when I asked a question like that once. Now I use it for everyone. No hard feelings! :D

 Yes it does seem to be a bit of a "drive by" but perhaps just a man of few words!

Maybe it wasn't done in true taste and maybe the OP was looking for a reputable place to purchase from, but I do like to pull that link out every once in a while.

Who knows, maybe someone on here will use it on me in here one day!

ETA: In all my smart aleciness (not a word until now!) I mis-spelled the search! Oh well it got to the same spot anyway.

Re: Source for used boat parts

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in my posts, I was trying not to get banned by breaking the rules about solicitation. I don't post here much, so I wasn't sure how close to breaking the rules I was. My goal was to get a recommendation for one of the hundreds of used boat places online. I found a fuel pump locally that I could tear apart to get the part I needed. I will remember the tinyurl link for future use though. :D
