Sources For Boat Covers That Fully Cover Sides?

There are lots of places that sell boat covers, including our host. But all that I find are the typical cover that only covers down to the rub rail. Since my new Monterey will be stored in carport style covered outdoor storage, I'd like a cover that goes all the way down the sides to protect the dark blue side trim. Short of an expensive custom cover, are there any sources online for these covers?

I would not think it is necessary if under a carport. Monterey gel coat is very stout, and fade will be minimal, if at all when you keep up with waxing and polishing.
My Monty sits outside all summer with just a cheap cover over the canvas, and shows zero effects of the sun.

maybe get a generic cover that is to big for your boat. get the widest beam ya can.
i did this for my boat, but for a different reason. i didn't intend to cover the sides, and it don't, but it does cover half the side. if i didn't have a hard top on my boat, i'd think that it'd be pretty close to covering the whole boat...
i went on the cheap. a manards (like lowes etc) special... $120ish 2 years ago. personally, i'm pleasantly amazed that it lasted this long. may even go for three.. i went 21' for a 19' boat.

You are probably correct, but I tend to go overboard on such things. I would greatly prefer to keep it inside, but it would easily cost $100+ more per month to do so. It will get a high quality polish and wax yearly at a minimum, but I'd like to provide the best protection that is possible.

That thought crossed my mind, basically the "big freaking tarp" concept. Being for storage it doesn't have to be trailerable, and I could bungee it to the trailer frame. I already have snap on mooring covers with poles, and could toss the tarp over the top. If getting a true full length cover turns out to be $1000+, I may go this route.

I did same as ziggy. On my 3rd year with same cover, it fits down far enough on each side to cover the graphics. I paid $50 for it.

Ordered it from Sportsman's Guide. Darn good cover for the price.

The only issue with that approach is my factory wake tower. I wouldn't have an issue with cutting a cheap cover to fit around the tower poles, but I doubt it would last very long.

Yep, generic cover won't work. Break out some more $'s for a custom.
