I'm wondering how to measure the size of the axle spindles I currently have. I would like to order all new hubs and brakes for my trailer and just want to make sure I order the right size. I have a 1994 Venture tandem torsion axel trailer with 10" hydrulic actuated drum brakes.
The spindles I currently have look fine, but I'm just inquiring about there size. when I see them listed for sale, I see that they have sizes listed such as
1" x 1" / 1 1/16 x 1 1/16" / 1 1/16" x 1 3/8"
what exactly are these measurements showing?
My guess... is they're measuring the diameter of where the inner and outter bearings ride. ??? and if so which order are they listing it from inner to outter or outter to inner bearing.
Or are they just measuring the diameter of the threaded end (Castle Nut End) of the spindle. because I see on some site they have the spindle size down as just one number; such as 1"
