Nope, none there.:mad::mad:
Says Empire Dodge there.
How would I know if I even have the Bluetec system on it?

It's all B.S.--that's my point. Blue-tec was just a name for a 3.0l mercedes diesel engine. I figured that after the split, somebody found a box full of them and figured a way Chrysler sould make some money off them. All the 6.7's have all the stuff listed under the "blue-tec" option --as standard equipment. It's a scam.

So, they charged me for something I already had or use that as an excuse to chage me that?
1000 bucks is a 1000 bucks.

I'll bet it's there.
It's right where SuperNova said it is on the trucks at his place.
Only the dealer covered it up with their emblem.
I would bet that is what they done.
I may go look after while.

It's a pretty hardy emblem, not just a sticker, and not all of our trucks have them either.

SBN, Luv your truck. :)

Just bought a black 07 in Monroe, NC a couple weeks ago. Mine has the Hemi/5 speed automatic 3.92 gear and tow package. Pulls my Glassmaster like it doesn't know it's back there. :)

Last Friday I had my bed Line-x-ed. I won't be hauling much in mine either and plan a Fold-a-Cover for it like one I put on my wifes 01 Dakota Quad Cab. It works well and acts like a big trunk. ;)

Cool deal Bill.
I use to love black with all the diamond plated stuff on it, but now I can't take care of black like you need to.
Man, it shows dirt easy.:(
But anyway, I have the tool box back there so no kind of topper for me right now.
Had one on a Dakota and found it to no benifit to me.
The '04 I traded in had the Hemi and your right, they pull good.

I'm lucky my dealer has offered unlimited free car washes for the life of the truck. I plan to take him up on that offer. I'm tall but these nice Dodge 4 door/4x4's are real tall rascals and I'm not as limber as I used to be.

Best of luck with your new truck. It's a mighty fine ride! :):)

Hey Bubba. Guess what, I ain't.:D

SuperNova, quick question.
I noticed this AM after I let all the bells and lights in the dash quit flashing and ringing after I started it up that for about 6 times, it acted like something was cycling in the engine as it would draw the amp gauge down for a split second and then back to normal.
Was this the engine preheater working?

Re: Spinner's New Tow Truck

That is exactly what that is. They use an air heater grid on the intake instead of glow plugs and it can draw a lot of amperage and they cycle it on and off.

Does it do it ever time you start or is there a pre heat time to be taken before you hit the key?
I know the engine light will blink on and off and then stay on until you start and then goes off.
I ain't looked at the book yet for that.:(

Re: Spinner's New Tow Truck

Sidebar: You know, Dodge should implement something in the turbo brake to activate the brake lights when it kicks on.
If you have it in tow/haul mode and let it come on, you slow down pretty fast without hitting the brakes and that could cause a problem if someone was following to close.
Just a thought.

It does it for a certain amount of time when the key is cycled on and it depends on engine temp and ambient temp inputs. If either one is above a preset temp. then I don't think it even bothers.
