I just recently bought a 1994 Sea Rayder, it sat without use for about 2 years before I bought. It didn't have spark when I bought it and got that taken care of and it actually started(gas in the tank didn't smell bad, so I tired it). However, it would not rev, so I took the carbs off and they were a mess...
I reinstalled the carbs today and primed the bulb about three times and it fired up, BUT rev'ed high.. I tired it a couple times and rev's were still very high. I shut it off and fixed two carb bowl leaks, primed the bulb and tried to start, nothing..
Think it is just flooded? I pulled the plugs and it still has spark. I also pulled the filter on the fuel pump and cleaned it.
the primer bulb gets rock hard after about a half squeeze.
This is my first boat so any input would be appreciated.
thank you
