Sport Jet 90 engine problem, most likely fuel problem

I just recently bought a 1994 Sea Rayder, it sat without use for about 2 years before I bought. It didn't have spark when I bought it and got that taken care of and it actually started(gas in the tank didn't smell bad, so I tired it). However, it would not rev, so I took the carbs off and they were a mess...

I reinstalled the carbs today and primed the bulb about three times and it fired up, BUT rev'ed high.. I tired it a couple times and rev's were still very high. I shut it off and fixed two carb bowl leaks, primed the bulb and tried to start, nothing..

Think it is just flooded? I pulled the plugs and it still has spark. I also pulled the filter on the fuel pump and cleaned it.

the primer bulb gets rock hard after about a half squeeze.

This is my first boat so any input would be appreciated.

thank you

I let it sit for a couple hours still won't start. bulb is still hard and if I squeeze it the bottom carb starts to leak..

Is the fuel pump bad?

Leaky carbs and a ball that pumps up too fast???
Needle valve's sticking. Not allowing gas in or out.
Clean the carbs again.
Paying close attention to the itsy bitsy teenie tiny holes in the jets.
Did I mention very small holes???#27 in pic has the holes???
Small holes are for idle.
Top post in Force forum is a link from FrankA called a linc and sinc.Do it

Thanks for the reply.

I pulled the fuel line off in prep for the carb cleaning. I turned the engine over with the fuel line disconnected and the fuel has a slight pulse to it but steady stream.

AND the engine actual started with the fuel line disconnected..

So is it the fuel pump or carbs?? I'm really new to this

Thanks

Found the bowl flange was cracked on the bottom carb. There was no fuel in the top carb, so I think it was sucking air in and couldn't pump gas to the top and was flooding the bottom.

I JB welded it for now, but does anyone have a carb for sale? 1300-8266542 CARBURETOR-Bottom 1300-826654 WB-124A

Thanks

Pics of your carbs??
Squeezing the ball should push fuel to the carbs regardless of the condition of the others.
Stuck needle/seats stops the flow.

You possibly can use a lot of different carbs.Need to know what jets are in it.
Most time they come in sets.I know I don't want to seperate one from a set.
Saw some on e-bay.Under $100 for the set.

So if the bottom carb is overflowing with gas(leaking everywhere).. Something is stuck in the middle carb? The needle stops the flow up or just the flow to that carb? I tired to start the boat today and the nothing.. The bottom carb is the only one getting fuel? What could possibly stop the flow up??

thanks

Each carb acts independently when recieving fuel.
Each carb has a needle and seat.If the top leaks it should have nothing to do with the lower carbs and vice versa.
If your not getting fuel in a carb it cause by the needle/seat and the float being set wrong.
Too high and it keeps the needle up in the seat and it stays shut off.
I've sent u a PM.

$100 really, I've got 1994 SeaRayder. I believe I have a stuck needle issue. I'm about to attempt to clean. I'll start a new thread with pics. When I screw this up are you gonna help me find the right replacement???

btw Thanks for all your posts.
