Yes, SS insert is "bendable". As the shear starts to slope downward towards the transom, simply pull it down to meet the curvature, drill your hole, shoot your 5200 in, pull it back down run your screw, then continue on. When the curvature straightens out, pull it up and do the same thing.
It will go around corners too, as long as the radius isn't too tight. A heavy rubber mallet words good to "pound it a round". Just screw it in close to the corner so it doesn't "spring" on you. Piece of cake...
