If not for the new plastic cars, that street scene would fit that rat rod perfectly.

This is the project I've been working on the past few months. 94 f250 to F350 conversion. 7.3 IDI to 12V cummins swap. Auto to 5 sp manual and much more on it. 13882381_1209857405720648_2328207045283240617_n.jpg 13775751_1206154292757626_5522982745305693902_n.jpg 13782028_1206427242730331_2600127572365178376_n.jpg 13895065_1209210185785370_3253051198454803237_n.jpg

Not a good lookin plug there. I was gonna change mine, but can't find them. :)
Yeahhh... and there were 7 more just like that one!

My 1995 F-150, which I've owned for 18 months now, started getting hard to start when the weather got wet. Yesterday it wouldn't start at all, so I texted my buddy to come have a look.

Discovered that it needed a tune-up really badly! The plug wires were all stamped "Motocraft 1995" and it looked like the original distributor cap and rotor were still on there too! The truck has 168,000 miles. Yow!

So I went up to the parts store and got the replacements and brought 'em home. My friend got everything installed and all is well once again. Hopefully the next tune-up will come along in less than 22 years!

So far only some rain and not as much as I hoped for. We need it bad. All we're getting is bands of occasional showers and just mildly breezy. I expected more being on the dirty side.

You still have to keep your eyes peeled, g0ne. Watch out for Jim Cantore in your new neighborhood. He has a black cloud over his head and your head too if he's broadcasting anywhere near the new house.

I'm here! I just now walked the property outside. Tins are okay. :thumb:

Family too!

We got plenty, plenty much needed rain though. Still raining this morning. We had 3 tornado warnings yesterday; one 20 miles east of us, one 6 miles west of us and one 30 miles southeast of us. All the storms were moving at 45mph so the warnings passed quickly. Got some deadfall from the storm and will do a little cleanup this weekend.

My wife and I stayed up till nearly 0100 watching the storm on tv. Then the big stuff hit us at 0330, woke us up and kept us "interested" and wide awake for about an hour. Winds were probably 35-40mph and heavy rain. Once it died down, we got back to sleep okay.

School and my wife's job are closed so those two have a nice 5 day weekend.

Big rain still this morning, off and on. Temps, humidity and wind are pleasant. Now, if I only had a nice shelter to work in... :tongue1:

Glad to hear your shelter in place went well and the hurricane hurried on by!

On shelter, we had a company called tough sheds build us a garage for half the price a local contractor wanted. It was pre-fabbed, shipped and put up in 24 hours. It's only 24x26 but plenty big enough for boat work.

Ill have to look into that! I plan on having trees clreared $$$$$$ and adding something similiar as a detatched garage and closing the attached in as a new kitchen (10 yr plan) new boat storage/garage is first.

Weather was worse here in savannah than the 24 hrs i was on shift. Woke up after 3 hr nap to some narly stuff, but still mostly just wind. Went to check the new house and all is well there. Might start getting in tomorrow afternoon. If not then sunday/monday.

How are you guys insuring your restored 70's beautys? Just got the phone with a company and i got a feeling they go off nada even though the "what you get for it" is a pretty decent gap.

My local agent came out, looked at the boat and asked me what it was worth now. I gave him the figure of what I had into the boat in just the parts cost and purchase. He said ok, took a few pics and it was a done deal.

When I repowered my 70s boat with a new motor, I bought an agreed upon value policy, to avoid the NADA value issue.

Stay safe, and good wishes to you all down in Florida. Everything is replaceable except family and friends.
