Made it back home last night. House seems ok. Boats is ok because i took it with. Family is tired but ok. Dogs are glad to have a back yard and not be on the 10th floor of a hotel. Id be perfectly ok with not having to evacuate again this year. $$$

After getting the Chief back home and into storage, I had to turn my attention to some other projects. I have an old Yamaha snowmobile, that kept bogging down after it warmed up when I hit the throttle. The fix required removing the engine, disconnecting everything from it, splitting the crank case, replacing the seals, then putting it back together.....and fixing some other broken parts I found on the way (fan, rubber engine mount, removing some snapped off screws etc. I got a heck of a surprise when I put it back together......it ran!:D

If it has a switch on the charger to go between the 2 voltages otherwise it's a bit hot for a 6v battery.

I think a 12V charger would boil the battery. Black and Decker has a 6/12V charger maintainer at a decent price.

Curious - What are you using with 6V? Not many 6 volt machines around anymore.

No Starcraft stuff done for a while, but have been following everyone. Trying to finish up the 29Bitsa. Had a bad blue smoke problem on warm starts, obvious problem on a Small Block Chevy is valve seals. So while I was checking them out I figured I would install a Thumper Cam to get that awesome sound, Well best laid plans, turns out the head were shot, had 5 pistons with broken rings two had the rings in 5 pieces. So I now have new heads !00 hp gain over the old ones, new pistons rings and rod bearings, as well as the Thumper cam, lifters, and push rods. Changed the rear end gear ratio from 2.75 to 3.50 for more bottom end and insulated and finished the interior so I don't have to wear ear plugs..

Here's a few pictures and a sound video. Turn it up
