Hello,
Yesterday I attempted to start my motor after sitting the best of two years. I tilted the engine back to remove the transom saver, then tilted all the way down into a big bucket of water. To make sure everthing works I just turned the key without the choke engaged. The starter came up and spun the flywheel. Life was good. I then primed the ball, increased the throttle, engaged the choke and turned the key,the flywheel spun for a second then nothing. I tried it again, no spin, no click, no nothing. I returned the throttle to neutral and turned the key again, no luck. I cheked the battery, got 12volts. I got 12 volts across the stater solenoid, and dropped to 0 when turning the key. I found a circuit breaker reset, I pushed it in still nothing. It was getting late, so I put the cover back on the motor so I could replace the transom saver. I hit the up button and nothing happened. I hit down it clicked then I hit up and nothing. I checked the battery again, still had 12 volts.
Does anyone have an idea of whats going on?
Thanks,
Tom
