Well, fresh oil, gear lube, new carb, replaced broken valve spring, resurfaced exhaust manifold. Finally got it back together, turned the key, and I got maybe one sickly rotation. Boo. Then some clicking and grinding. Pulled the plugs, same thing. Engine spins by hand. Cleaned all connections. Haven't done all the electrical tests (I have a reluctant wife/helper), but I'm leaning towards the starter. Realistically, how long should it take to remove it, taking into account 25+ tests of corrosion? Any tricks?
