What should be done prior to and just after starting an outboard (125Hp Force)

Sounds silly doesn't it, but i dont want to risk the motor if i dont have to.

1) Turn battery on
2) Pump primer bulb till its hard
3) Choke and start
4) warm up for a couple of minutes??
5) go fishing

Does this sound right, it what i do.
Should i warm the motor up more?
How long should i flush the motor out for after use (sea water)

Now dont laugh when you reply!

Welcome to boating and the forum.
You should flush salt out of the cooling system after each use. I know it's a pain sometimes, but it must be done.
Your startup looks good to me.
After running the engine a few minutes, make a visual check that there is steam comming from the exaust, and glance down at the gauges often.
