I was way over thinking the front backrest I was going to make the back rest all one piece, no need the center is supported I will post up the pictures later this morning.
Well I was out of town and also busy with domestic projects. Last night I routered out the offset on the back rest and sanded the boards to fit and got the first coat of spar. Going to work on the cushion while I wait for coats of spar to dry. Should have some more pictures of the progress by the weekend.
So I was going to screw the bow cover down and mount the windshield brackets I was drilling and tapping the first hole and snapped the 10/24 tap, this was 5 minutes after the hardware store closed.
I walked away for a couple days, mowing grass and have 2 wagons full of hay to get in the barn. Going to have the bow cover back off it get at the tap, little frustrated.
I hate breaking taps - especially the small ones. I hope it at least broke with some still exposed. Oil the threads up good and hopefully can back it out.
I will be slightly overpowered with the 40hp on the back. I do have a remedy for the prop torque forgot I had them. A pair of NOS never installed step and trim tabs.
Whoa found out that the old step n trim tabs are highly desired, might be worth more than the hull, they are still going on the boat, kinda adds to the sexy factor of the boat.
