Guys, ever since I owned this boat, when I try to fill the tank at a gas station I put the pistol from the gas pump in the opening for the gas tank and start pumping. The tank fills up fine, but at the end I always get a load of gas come surging back out of the tank. I have got use to just pushing the pistol in as hard as I can (this limits the amount of gas that can come out) but I can't believe this is normal behaviour. I thought the breather must be blocked, but I removed the external end and it's clearly not blocked, I then blew compressed air down the breather pipe. That seems clear, so what else could cause this behaviour? I am just concerened about the safety aspect of having gas come out the boat everytime I fill her up..
Thanks for any suggestions, the boat is a Glastron G1900 from 1991.
