sx lube choices

As there are no Volvo dealers less than an hours drive I've always used West Marine outdrive lube with no problem but they now have so many types all guarented "not void any manufactures" warrenty I don't know which to choose. The sales person recommended Quicksilver drive lube.
What brands or type besides Volvo can be used?

quicksilver high performance gear lube will work fine

seirra brand premuim blend gear lube will also be fine, and maybe cheaper than the high perf

Depends a lot on what outdrive YOU have. Could be anything from engine oil to synthetic gear lube.
You really don't want to use gear lube in a drive that should have engine oil.

Thanks all. I will remember to always put SX in the text.
Any thought of LubeMatic vs Quicksilver vs auto/truck 90wt gear oil? I used Quicksilver this
time but noticed the instructions advise not to mix it with other lubes
and short of vacumming I don't seem to ever get all the old lube out.
Also it was green vs the usual cream color so who knows what it will look like
when drained next season.

Mobil1 75w/90 GL5 synthetic gearlube. Volvo even has that in the manual as a substitute for their own gear lube.
