I finally got my charging issue resolved on my 1979 85 horse chrylser. New universal regualtor/rectifier assembly is installed and working. My issue is the tach works great up until about 2200 RPM. That is as high as the gauge will read now. I do get full RPM out of it fine, but tach seems limited to 2200.... Could this be something with the new regualtor/rectifier? Could it limiting the readout of the tach wire somehow?
