The tinny belongs to a guide friend of mine. The inflateable is rated for 10hp. lol. But yeah, a 5 or 6 would be awesome.

Hey TC

Glad your Vacation is going well. Heat wave in Oklahoma is keeping me inside. I am really wanting to get started on my boat but to darn hot. Catch some fish for me.

Have fun

Re: Tallcanadian's 1976 Sunray Refresh.

Well, a couple of weeks have gone by. Time again has flown. We've had company from across Canada, I've travelled a bit. I got suntanned, sunburned but stayed properly hydrated ;) I finally got my engine cover back. It looks okay but I will never use this guy again. It took a month and half and he ended charging me 20 bucks more than originally quoted. It's not exactly what I wanted but it does look okay. I'll post some before and after pics. Now that I'm back to business with the boat, we have a forecast of 5 days of rain...of course. But I think I have everything I need, so I will soon get cracking after this wet period.

I thought I would share just a couple of local shots I took while on vacation. Nothing special and, of course, boat related.

TC,
That engine cover looks great to me. Although I no you can't see everything in a pic.
I hope you get a break in the weather. It has been extremely dry and hot here.
Take care.

Thanks Bob. They did a good job but the red stripe over the blue is actually suppose to be dark grey with a thin black strip on each side and the seahorse is suppose to have the white piece, not red. So now I'm wondering would I get away with a red stripe that separates the blue and the white on the boat?? Hmmmm.

That looks sweeeeet. I have a feeling you are gonna be happy with the overall project.

And now for something totally different. What wood do they use to make OSB where you are? (referring to 'outboard before' photo)

Our OSB is made from Yellow Pine and the price swings wildly. Does your price per sheet change much?

Right now we pay $7.97 a sheet at Lowes and Home Depot, but I have seen it, not that I purchased any, for over $17.00 a sheet. Stinkin' hurricanes.

Once again project looks great, keep diggin'

Hey Bill, it usually sells around 14 dollars a sheet for 7/16" thick. It's made from spruce. Most building wood around here is spruce. It's been up in the past. They blamed it on the Iraqi war believe it or not. But now it's been stable for some time.

Looks like you had a great vay cay...
