To be honest, I think Murphy lives with Kev. So be careful, he must be travelling from Florida to Newfoundland, and all points in between. Darn thing is like the tooth fairy.

LOL,
From the looks of things I think he and Bob have joint custody  lol

She took quite a transformation over the years, but thanks to all you here, it would never have gotten done without you all. +

And the outboard and trailer too.

And in case your wondering, the outboard now is a charcoal grey with the interlux white on the hood with new decals.

Next, splashdown....

WOW! Looks fantastic!

TC the rig is looking awesome:)

The trailer and outboard paint looks great and I like the original bottom hull paint scheme. Not many on the water like yours. Have fun with it this fall and catch some fish eh!:D

Hey TC! I found a pair of bow lights without covers down here in PA:D

I haven't been around in a while but I just caught up on your thread and she looks REALLY great!

Have you gone and splashed her yet. We need video:D

Hey Mick, send those foolish things back here. I also notice that my two reflectors I had on my trailer are missing too. lol.

I haven't splashed her yet, I was hoping this weekend but the weather looks horrid. It has started raining now and is suppose to rain until Sunday. Of course it is. This is how my season started. Now that I have my boat done, this is how it's gonna end..lol. When I do splash it, I will take pics and video for sure.

Re: Tallcanadian's 1976 Sunray Refresh.

No splash this weekend. Today was 48F, rainy and windy. I spent the day cleaning my shed from all the rebuild mess. I still haven't found my bow lights yet. I cannot imagine what I did with those. I did get a new gas line bulb and decided to locate it in the splashwell. This will save me from opening the back hatch just to pump the gas. I also mounted my new to me throttle controls yesterday. I need to pick up some reg letters for the bow. Tomorrow is suppose to be a repeat of today so I guess it won't be until next weekend before I get in the water.

I hope this weekend sees most of you in the water or making great progress on your builds.

Thanks guys for all your kind words and encouragement. At least I can provide a video of her first start. I had it services in May, I think, or first of June. This is the first time it's started since.

And I'm still looking for those freakin lights..lol.

Hey TC
Congrats on getting her running.
Let me guess, Murphy stole your lights. :p
You'll find them when you aren't looking for them.
Take care

Murphy's been down under too... I took my ipod out of the boat last week to charge it and put a few new songs on it via itunes and now I can't find it anywhere. Maybe Murphy's planning a disco? :)

Re: Tallcanadian's 1976 Sunray Refresh.

Remnants of all those hurricanes that come up north. Apparently the warmer ocean temps in northern waters gets the hurricanes to hang to to their force a lot longer.

Hopefully they all miss you and you get just some rain.

You just have to put some tunes on it that not even Murphy wants :)

I finally got my bow lights installed. Looks like splash down maybe in the morning. I think the weather will be in my favour.
