Bob you will be so missed by so many including all of us here on Iboats and those lives you've touched here in central Florida. My condolences to your family and our friends for our loss. You really touched thousands of lives...

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

Yea, I have a couple of my computers at home set up to log me in when I double click the icon. All you have to do, is check "remember me" in the box, the first time you log in. If you wipe out your history and stuff, you'll have to go through the process again. Robert's computer was probably set up like that and Brandon probably just logged into it. I'm willing to bet TD would be okay with it, under these circumstances. Thanks for your input Brandon. I think it is fortunate that you and TD worked well together and grew together as business partners. Unfortunately, this economy has put the hurts to the repair business. I hope you can continue this business for TD and make it successful. I know that he would want it that way. Hopefully we'll see you here more often. A lot of new members are coming on board and will definately use your exportise.

Thanks Branden. I meet you once this summer when I came over to Bob's about a lower unit. I could tell then you two had a connection. I'm also glad to see that you are the one who adopted Tasha.

Your comments about his teaching ability are right on. Last summer I was able to spend about 6 hours with him working on my 90 Johnson. For those who only experienced his help and knowledge on here, they completely missed out on how good of a teacher he was in person.

Good luck Branden, and my deepest sympathy goes out to you.

My condolences to Robert's family and friends as well as his iBoats family who knew him so well.
Lucky were those who were fortunate enough to have TD's input, with his vast knowledge he so willingly shared.
An iBoats icon, for sure. RIP, Robert. You certainly will be missed..

Living in Toronto, Canada, I never met Bob face to face but I always enjoyed reading his posts here on iboats. The impression I got of Bob was that he was an "honest and straight shooting gentleman" and with that in mind I am proud to say that it was an honor and my priviledge to have known Bob!
RIP Bob!

Wow, I just logged in after a bit of an absence, and am in shock.

May the wind be at your back and the seas be calm for you up in the big blue ocean Bob!

Add me to the list of people who are shocked and saddened by his passing. As with many of us joining this forum in the past few years, TD was always very direct, but very helpful in many ways.

He'll be missed. RIP TD.

Most sincere condolences to all who knew and loved TD.

I never met the man personally and only had minimal contact with him here, yet reading his posts through the years he always seemed to be a fair and honest man. His wit and wisdom will be sorely missed by many.

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

Yep, TD was a valuable asset to everyone. He played a major role as to how this forum worked, but to all those great experienced guys here, I thank them as well. I seriously hope each and everyone of them will stick around and pass the legacy on. I only had to ask one thing when I came here, but I am one of the experienced mechanics who hopes to benefit the newcomers who are coming here at a pretty large rate. Some of my info may not be 100% acurate, but my intensions are good. Fortunately, there are still a lot of good guys here to set me straight and to help further my (and their) cause here.:D To the newcomers here, I say welcome here. In TD's good name I want to keep this a great place for us boaters/mechanics to congregate and help each other out.

I have been away and am very sorry to hear this. He helped me with advice many times and shared his great knowledge freely, often going out of his way to provide drawings and photos particular to someone's question. I'll miss him.

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

My name is Branden Martinez, I was Bobs' apprentice, and closest friend at the time of his departure.. His passing is very rough to deal with. I have experienced his generosity, and wisdom, first hand, everyday for the last year. He is a grandfather to me, not by blood, but by heart. His knowledge of not only outboard engines, but life in general surpasses anyone else i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And will never be matched at his level.

Bob took me places i would most likely would have never seen, or experienced, he introduced me to unforgettable people that i am positive i would have never had the pleasure of meeting. He will always be remembered by me. R.I.P. ROBERT E. GRIFFIS

SPECIAL THANKS TO RICK FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND CONCERN.
Condolence's to you Branden.

You definately seem to realize that you were "blessed" by meeting Bob.

Everyone has at least one person that makes a impact on their life.
And Bob was yours. My thoughts go out to you.

Thanks for posting your memories.
