Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

As the former roommate of Tasha's Daddy, I just registered for the first time to make sure the iboats community was aware of his passing. I know how much the iboats community meant to him, and I am grateful for the wonderful comments. I met some of you at the Lake Griffin weekend (Stayed at the hotel, and came for a few of the activities.) Someone asked for more info on his life, and I can tell you that Bob was a creative, intelligent, kind person with a great sense of humor. Yes, he was crusty as someone put it, and had a temper, but he really loved helping other people, never complained about his ailments or pain, and worked hard for the things he believed in. He had an amazing sense of design and use of space which he utilized when he undertook remodeling projects, and he loved his animals, Kiki, Sammy, and especially Tasha. I am grateful that Brandon has Tasha and I do not have to watch her grieve the loss of her daddy. I will make sure his family is aware of your condolences. Thank you all.

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

I remember talking to Bob on the phone a couple years ago.
He was telling me to come on down, bring my camper and hang out for a few days.......
Man,I wish i would have taken him up at the time...

Just from the times we talked on the phone i thought of Bob as a good friend.

I still can't believe it.....A terrible loss to Iboats and all of us...

As a new member I quickly came to realize the respect Bob has earned on this forum. From the topics I was involved in with TD, he always made sure fellow boaters received the right advice. And 50,000+ posts get outta here! That's one helluva a contribution to ANY cause in my opinion.

To say he will be missed does not come close.

May navigating the seas of heaven be a breeze.

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

I too have been away for a bit, the passing of Bob is not only a great loss for this forum, but also for the world as well. People such as Bob have an impact in many other parts of life, this only being one of the outposts. People like Bob will be missed terribly, for so many reasons...

Yet, as has been said before, his contributions to this world are what we are left with. And that ensures his everlasting life, in all our hearts, and in all the hearts he has entered throughout his life. He will not be forgotten, and, quite often will be remembered with a smile on our faces, not a tear in our eye...

Via con Dios, mi Amigo...and God Bless Tasha...

I'm very sad to here this news... TD helped with some issues on my Bayliner resto, and traded a number of PM's. I always enjoyed reading his posts and response to other questions... He will be truly missed.. My condolences to all friend and family. His ashes being spread over the Florida Keys is perfect. Rest in peace brutha!

Ah, man- I just stumbled on this thread. TD was one of the first to offer me advice when I joined iboats in '07. Damn, I'm welling up as I type this...

RIP, TD. Thanks for everything.

When I drop by the forum I still find it disappointing not to see TashasDaddy here in the forum just like I miss SpinnerbaitNut. Lester and Bob you guys touched many more lives than anyone can realize... God rest my friends.

He Was The Greatest here! A person without self, just helping others with their boat repair problems. He was the best for sure. God bless him!

What's really hard is reading back through old posts, and stumbling upon one of his. You're like, "Aww ****, that's right, he's dead. Son of a *****." And then sign off and go sit with my dog.

I hate his old posts, it makes me miss the ol' buzzard.
