Greetings
I dug out an old Johnson TD-20 out of my parents crawlspace under there house which had been there for approx 25 years. Was given to my dad by my uncle, Both of which have passed away. Thought i'd get the old thing running again. Cleaned carb and points, replaced footgrease with gearlube oil. Got the thing running but one set of points keeps arching out and when it does i get intermitting fire on that cyl. I swapped points around to make sure it wasn't the coil or condenser and sure enough the other cyl started firing erratic. This set of points have been ground down way too much by a previous mechanic. The contacts on the base are almost gone. The contacts on the copper arm still look ok. I had concidered welding/soldering on the old base contacts and trying to fab them enought to work but would rather buy a set if they are available anywhere. Also from internet search i know that they were built from 46 thru 49. but i can't seem to find a serial # chart to find out what year for sure it was built. My Serial # is 670034. Any help would on either subject would be greatly appreciated. Would kind of like to get it going and use it again. Kind of a sentimental thing i quess.
Thanks in advance
