So my fall project was to rip out the carpet and floor, a few weak spots so decided just to gut it and replace everything.
Carpet is out and I did a 2x2 square of the floor to see underneath.
My question is on the side of the boat were normally you put the fishing poles, ores etc the floor goes underneath this.
I thought there would be some kind of wood support that the flooring rests on but it looks like it connects to the storage area.
So I am stuck on what else I need to tear out. I took a few pics but it is kinda hard to see.
The first one is the hole cut out and the knife to the side is the lip where the storage usually is on the side.
The second one I tried to show underneath the cut out piece. There is nothing supporting the floor underneath I guess it is attached to the storage structure.
So do I have to tear out the storage L-shaped part also, and if so how does the flooring fasten to that and how does that L-shaped part fasten to the hull cause all I can tell is fiberglass?
I hope it kinda makes some sense.
Thanks
