You could try it, I suppose. Techron is mostly used as a fuel-sytem detergent though. I'm not sure how it would perform in the concentrated mixtures we use to decarb a two-stroke. Also, the operating temperatures of four-strokes and outboards are different by a lot. That also may play a factor in how well the product works as a decarb agent.
My opinion is you'll be wasting a perfectly good bottle of techron, but I don't think it'll hurt anything either. If you're going to use it, I'd recommend the 1 gal gas 1 bottle of decarb agent in a portable tank method. At least you'd be giving the carb a really good cleaning - techron is excellent at that.
